Iran Reports Strike on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.
Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Manama, as Iran launched operations throughout the Middle East in response for a "massive" and ongoing attack against it by the United States and Israeli forces.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an vicinity in the area of the headquarters of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The extent of any destruction is uncertain and the American officials has yet to issue a statement.
Missile Defenses Activated
Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house US military bases - stated they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their air space.
In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was striking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on Iran carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That preceding assault - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted sites linked to the Iranian leadership, with US President Donald Trump calling on the people of Iran to rise up against the regime.

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the projectiles with great effectiveness and successfully intercepted a several projectiles," the statement continued.
Officials reported debris fell on a residential area in the capital, causing some material damage and fatalities.
The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
